Role: Graphic design and technical development for founder Aaron Ragen's apparel brand.
Ongoing collaboration bringing concepts from mood board to finished, sold-out product. Work spans illustration, distressed graphic printing, and technical apparel documentation.
Every piece starts as a conversation, not a brief. Concepts get explored through mood boards and reference (petroglyph imagery, retro surf shop signage, vintage track and field graphics), then move to hand-drawn sketches before anything touches a screen. Once a direction is set, pieces are digitized in Photoshop using custom brushes and hand-built textures to give the final print a worn, decades-old feel straight off the press.
Yamashita Surf Shop Tee, Graphics
Retro surf shop tee concept built around a hand-drawn monkey-on-a-surfboard mark. Every element was sketched by hand first, then digitized and distressed for a printed-decades-ago finish.

Yamashita Track & Field Tee, Graphic
A classic fable reframed as a vintage track and field shirt graphic. Developed from initial sketches with Aaron through to a finished retro print, aged and distressed to feel like a shirt that's been through the wash for twenty years.
Ostler Flannel, tech pack
First project on the brand. Rather than design the graphic, built the full digital tech pack and size chart for manufacturing, working directly with Aaron through fabric, cut, buttons, sizing, color, construction, and wash.
This is where design meets manufacturing. The value wasn't originating the idea, it was giving Aaron a clear, accurate way to communicate his vision to a factory.
